The library is proud to contribute in making our community vibrant, economically and culturally.

The Public Library in Truro is proud to be an integral part of our community, offering not just books, eBooks, audio books, magazines, music and video lending services; but also age-appropriate programs from newborns onwards, such as, Baby & Me time, Robotics classes, a Home Service and Continuing Care Facility Delivery, (see full program schedule here); the free use of public access computers, free Wi-Fi internet access, computer training, copier/printer access (including a 3D printer), meeting/learning spaces for individuals/groups; and more, in a friendly, all-inclusive environment.

The Public Library and the regional headquarters, which will continue to be housed together in the new library building, employ more than 35 full and part-time workers, who live and shop in the area. The Library is in a central location, which attracts visitors to businesses in the downtown core of Truro.
The Public Library and the regional headquarters make every effort to prioritize purchases of supplies and services from local area businesses.

We all benefit from an economically and culturally vibrant community. We need your best team effort in helping us achieve our goal of raising the funds needed for library essentials, which in turn will allow the library to offer an expanded range of services.

Thank you for your support!
